Sunshine Hotels & Resorts partnered with the Baan Amphoe Community Enterprise for Sea Conservation in an engaging CSR activity

On October 31, 2024, Sunshine Hotels & Resorts partnered with the Baan Amphoe Community Enterprise for Sea Conservation in an engaging CSR activity under the theme “Reducing Waste for a Better World.” The primary goal of this initiative was to transform waste into valuable resources and foster a sustainable community.

The activity focused on collecting plastic caps from various sources. These collected caps underwent a recycling process and were transformed into valuable products. These products were then sold to generate income for the community and promote the efficient use of resources.

Beyond generating income for the community, this activity also significantly reduced the amount of plastic waste that harms the environment, particularly in coastal areas, which are significant tourist destinations. By reducing plastic waste, this initiative helped maintain the cleanliness of beaches and the sea and mitigated the issue of non-biodegradable plastic waste that harms marine life.
